About Stevens

They are a family-owned company first established in 1924, when we opened our first household hardware & kitchen appliance store in Karangahape Road, Auckland called Henry Stevens Limited.

Henry’s two sons, Owen and Spencer joined the business in the 1930’s and served their apprenticeship until called up for active service during the Second World War. In 1946 Owen and Spencer took over the business as Stevens Bros Limited and over the next eight years two more stores were opened.
